Postgraduate Funding
The University of Manchester invested over £6.8m to support postgraduate research students in 2009/10. In addition to these internal funds, a substantial amount of funding was also generated from Research Councils, industry and other external sources. In Research Council funding alone, the University receives an average of £20 million per year to support its postgraduate taught and research degree students across a variety of disciplines.

The President's Doctoral Scholar Award Launched
This flagship funding scheme, which is strongly supported by the University's President and Vice Chancellor, will offer over 100 elite studentships each year to outstanding national and international doctoral students.
